Our client in Engineering / Manufacturing currently has a vacancy for the position of a Line Technician for the Assembly Plant, based in Pretoria East.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Matric and certified Mechatronics Artisan / Millwright Artisan.
•Experience with electrical circuits (E-Plan).
•Ability to manufacture tools from 2-D drawings, 3-D CAD.
•Robotic Programming (spot welding, MIG welding) / PLC programming.
•MS Office.
•Well developed interpersonal communication skills.
•Strong organisational skills.
•Analytical / fault finding ability.
•Systems and deadline driven.
EXPERIENCE:
•2 - 5 years Experience in a production / manufacturing environment
•Experience in the Automotive industry preferred
•Experience with electrical circuits (E-Plan).
DUTIES INCLUDE:
→ Operate, maintain and troubleshoot the robotic equipment used in production and ensure the quality of sub-assemblies, maintain the equipment, identify and resolve issues, and follow safety protocols.
•Install, test and maintain industrial controls / PLC programs (software and hardware).
•Maintain program (Robotic, PLC) or welding parameters
•Read and understand drawings and design concepts (E-plan drawings).
•Provide line support to production in order to minimize down time.
•Perform continuous routine diagnostic checks on automated systems.
•Troubleshoot non-functioning component parts (sensors, controls, etc.).
•Isolate problems and repair or replace any necessary components.
•Monitor the line OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency).
•Perform planned, preventative and predictive maintenance.
•Ensure conformance of product to the required specification.
•Record and demarcate scrap / suspect parts after possible interference
•Maintain safety systems and ensure systems functional at all times
